Classroom Flexibility from a User-Based Perspective

Session Format Facilitated discussion
Author(s) Yaser Haddara Electrical & Computing Engineering, David Kidney Classroom Audio-Visual Services, Walter Peace Geography & Earth Sciences
Session Abstract The authors will lead a needs assessment session about classrooms (and technology) at McMaster especially focused on challenges and factors affecting room usability. Information gleaned will be used to inform a Forward With Integrity project planned for this summer. Walt, Yaser and David have led workshops and presentations on classroom design several times in the past and currently serve on a newly formed Classroom Renewal Committee. We invite any instructors (or students) who are interested in the future shape of McMaster Learning Spaces to join us over lunch as we share information about the Classroom Renewal Committee, its mandate and structure, and hopefully come away with suggestions for improvements to current rooms and ideas for the future.
