Conferences and Symopsia

In order to foster conversation and exchange about teaching and learning, the Centre for Leadership in Learning hosts a variety of conferences and symposia each year.  Annual events include the Research on Teaching and Learning conference and the Learning Technologies Symposium.  These events are often collaborative efforts involving Research, Instruction, and InnoVation in Educational Technologies (RIVET), the educational technologies division of the Program for Faculty Development in the Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster Library, Graduate Studies and the VP Research office.

These conferences allow post-secondary educators to come together, network, and share knowledge, experiences, and research on teaching and learning.  They are great learning opportunities that allow us to find out about other teaching and learning initiatives, projects, and research that are occurring in other disciplines and at other universities.

CLL circulates calls for abstracts for upcoming conferences and symposia through our distribution lists and our monthly e-bulletins.  Faculty, instructional staff, graduate studies and teaching assistants who have an interest in teaching and learning are encouraged to participate in these events as presenters, reviewers, program committee members, and conference attendees.

How to get involved
Dates, times, and locations of upcoming conferences and symposia are added to the CLL Events page and advertised through the CLL e-bulletin.  For more information about these events, or to be added to our distribution list, please email cll@mcmaster.ca.
