Funding is available through the CLL for initiatives – including pedagogical research projects – that improve the quality of students’ learning. Submissions for small grants (i.e., up to $1,000) are accepted three times per year, on February 1st, July 1st and November 1st. CLL also disburses larger grants (up to $10,000), with an annual deadline of February 1st.
Our Educational Research Consultant is available to assist with the preparation of your teaching and learning grant application. We can review the grant application process with you, and offer personalized feedback and support as you develop your submission.*
* Applications are adjudicated by a peer-review committee, which normally consists of two past Teaching & Learning Grant award winners, two McMaster faculty members, and two CLL members. The CLL members sit on the committee in a facilitative capacity only and do not participate in the adjudication process.
